- The blanket's fire-resistant materials create a barrier that will cut off oxygen to smother the fire.
- Keep a close watch; if the fire persists or the situation worsens, evacuate and call for professional help.

Any blanket effectively smothers out a fire?
A blanket should only be used in a very early stage. However, the material does matter. Our Emergency Fire Blankets are made of fire-proof or fire-resistant material and are even covered with a fire-resistant coating, this makes it preferable to use instead of a normal one.
Is there only one side to put towards the flames or any side?
The Emergency Fire Blanket can be used on any side, which means that it doesn't matter which way you unfold it when you need to use it to put out a fire
Too close to the fire
Our Emergency Fire Blanket is a simple fire safety device designed to tackle early-stage fires. Using a fire blanket lowers this risk. First, turn off the source of heat, if possible. A quality fire blanket will have straps to help you wrap your hands up completely to protect them. You must quickly drape the fire blanket over the fire without throwing it or fanning the flames. Once it’s on, leave it in place until you’re certain the fire is out.
After throwing the blanket on the fire does it become superheated? Will it be too hot to touch?
After using the Emergency Fire Blanket to smother a fire, the blanket can become heated, especially if it has been in contact with flames. It is important to exercise caution when handling the blanket after use to avoid burns. While the blanket may be warm, it should generally be safe to touch and adjust as necessary. However, if the fire is particularly intense or the blanket has been in contact with high heat for an extended period, it's advisable to allow it to cool down before handling it. Your safety is paramount, so please prioritize personal protection and take appropriate measures to avoid any potential injuries.
The straps are both off to the side - is this ok?

Welding blanket or Emergency Fire Blanket?
While welding blankets are useful, they can be cumbersome and heavy. Our fire blankets, on the other hand, are lightweight and easy to handle, making them ideal for quickly putting out chip pan fires. They're also easy to store and use, making them the perfect choice for emergency fire protection.
