Hero Choking Rescue Device: When to use

This device is a supplementary tool. Use only if:

• The person is choking and cannot breathe.
• Standard protocols (e.g., Heimlich maneuver) have failed or can’t be performed.

Follow these steps:

1. Call 9-1-1 if emergency medical treatment is required.
2. Attempt standard choking protocols.
3. If unsuccessful and the airway is completely blocked, use the device.

Do Not Use:

• On children under 22 lbs
• On individuals with head, neck, face, or back trauma
• On patients with endotracheal tubes
• If allergic to PVC or plastic
• On animals
• On non-choking individuals or those breathing on their own
• For drowning victims
• On any body part other than mouth and nose
